Seat warmer won't turn off

Here is an interesting one:

2020 4Runner ORP, 27k miles. Original owner. Took it to the dealership a couple weeks ago to have them paint the front and rear bumpers black to match the body, and install some TRD Pro black rims.

The day I picked it up, I noticed my seat was warm most of the drive. I kept turning the seat warmer on and off to get it to go off but it wouldn't.

Over the last few weeks this has happened probably a dozen times. I took it to the dealership and of course they said "we were unable to replicate the issue." Problem is, it doesn't happen every time. It's sporadic. Last night it did it again, but this time the orange light above the seat warmer wheel wouldn't go off. I'm assuming it was always lit, I just never noticed because it was daytime. This time it was in the middle of the night and I could see it clearly. It stayed lit even in the off position, and I got a video of it. Hopefully that will be enough evidence for them to fix it, even if it doesn't happen again when I take it in.

Has anyone ever heard of this happening? Could it be from something they did pulling off bumpers, or is the timing just a coincidence?

Thanks

I had this happen after spilling liquid onto the seat warmer switch while camping. The switch stayed lit and the heater would cycle on and off repeatedly. I ended up just replacing it and that fixed issue.

I agree that the switch is bad. You could unplug it until a replacement is found.

Update

We’re you able to get it fixed? I am having the same issue with mine. If you have a link to where you bought the “switch replacement” that would be a huge help.
