Pretty damn crazy that new cars are APPRECIATING "as soon as you drive them off the lot". Looked at a 2019 TRD ORP at CarMax tonight, 19,000 miles, $45,000. When to my local Toyota dealer, put a deposit on a brand ass new 2021 TRD ORP that stickered at $46,000....WITH options and fees. Brand new is cheaper than used.

I checked online yesterday and found a new 2021 limited for a whopping $70,000 Canadian. almost $60K US dollars at a dealer
I also saw from a dealer a 2012 sr5 with 150K miles on it for about $22K US dollars. what the heck. I paid $14K US dollars for my 2012 limited, in better condition, with 150K miles on it

Here in MD most will dealers will go 3% below MSRP, However the availability is not there right now (since April). So basic economics supply/demand figures in.
low/high=bad price

Selling a 2018 TRDORP with 43k miles to a Toyota dealer today for $41,200. I imagine it sold new for less than that since the window sticker in the glove box says it was $42,800 3 years ago. This market has to plateau soon, right? Carvana has offered $38,300 for my Inferno with 66k miles!!!!

Anyone getting Pros for anything close to MSRP recently? Or is this just a teaser?

Assume it doesn't exist unless you're standing in front of it with the price in writing.

Much like yes technically a full size Range Rover starts at $94k but dealers never order them stripped and you can’t find one below $107k. And no they won’t order you one for $94k.
When dealers have “enough business” everyone turns into dicks and won’t honor customer special requests.
And so I bought my 4Runner! LOL

The used car prices are crazy because there are NO new cars for sale. I went to the largest Toyota dealer in SLC today and he had ONE new car for sale (I think it was a Camry). Very little on the lot, but they all had "Sold" signs on them.
Was told that most of the incoming cars are already sold, or sell immediately as soon as they hit the lot.

Yep, my local dealer has most of their incoming 4Runners held with deposits.

Got a quote yesterday of $44,700 for my 21 SR5P from Carvana.
Pretty crazy. 7 months and 5500 miles into my ownership and it's worth roughly $2,000 above sticker.

I was offered 45k for my 2021 TRD ORP 2 days ago from Vroom, that's more than MSRP on mine and I've had it 6 months. I did carvana as well, but I'm still waiting on the price. Its not just 4runners, I have friends in the auto industry, everything is way up in price.

I got a VROOM quote for our 2014 4Runner Limited with 81,000 miles in excellent shape zero rust, paint is very good etc.. for $27,500! Not that we're looking to sell right now but we bought this thing for $34,500 in 2016 now that's minimal depreciation!
