As of yesterday my 4runner is still worth the same price as it was in the beginning of May. I need to hold on till just about the end of July till my Pro comes in to the dealer. Hopefully I can time it right.

I was listening to an automotive industry broadcast over the weekend. They were discussing the gap between price guidance for auction buyers and actual sell price over the past few weeks. Two weeks ago, benchmark vehicles like a 2018 F250 diesel were selling at $4k over guidance. Last week they were selling $4k below guidance. They said this coming week’s comparisons will be a good bellwether to determine if we are starting to see a downward adjustment trend in used car prices.

Yeah....quotes for my 4Runner are dropping but dealers still want MSRP for new vehicles. It'll take a little while to balance out.

I tried dealing with Vroom and it was a disaster. I won't ever deal with them again.

I did sell my '16 SR5 to CarMax yesterday and it went great.

Now I have to decide if waiting for BSM on the '22 model is worth being without a 4Runner for 6 months.

What happened with Vroom? I have a 2017 Cement Pro with 59k miles. Current quote from Vroom is $43,800 which is more than I paid for it new.

Vroom itself was okay but their carrier never contacted me, their number didn't work, and then I find out on a Sunday when I called Vroom that they were going to pick up the vehicle that day. I cancelled the deal then on Monday afternoon I get a call from a guy at the local gas station that he's in town to pick it up. I tell him the deal was cancelled and he gets huffy. I then get a call 4 days later from another carrier that they are wanting to schedule a pickup up.

Between that, the fact they are being sued by their shareholders, and stories I got on another forum I belong to of them taking over a week to get paid and that was only after contacting the BBB (of which Vroom was discredited) I'm glad I dodged the bullet of Vroom.

CarMax was great and their offer was good enough that I'm happy.

Anyone have a guess when the 2022s will hit the lots? I think it was August last year....

I was one of the ones that bought :(

Just picked up a used 17 Cement Grey, 21k mi.(33k km)
Knew it would be marked up but Ive always wanted one since I can remember.

Not sure what the prices are there in the US but I managed to find one here in Canada for 50k taxes/incl (40502 USD)
I very rarely see them up for sale up here, so I pulled the yolo card.

Very Happy with it and have no regrets!

I think you got a good buy in that thing, especially in this market. I've had dealers offer me $38k for my '15 Inferno with 66k miles.

43K for my 2021 Venture

I was on the fence, a customer bought a 2021 Venture Magnetic Gray and didnt like so they returned it within a week. I was offered 30k for my 2016 Silverado 1500 that I paid 28.5k for new so I pulled the trigger and traded her in on the 4Runner. The silverado 1500 was a nicer ride than the 4Runner, smoother, faster, better handling but there is just something about a 4Runner that I love and it fits inside my garage. As my daughter says it's mean looking
