I didn’t mean sidewall sorry. I spoke to a Cooper rep the other day and he stated the rugged trek is definitely trail capable the sidewall is a 2 ply but they are constructed out of high tensile strength polyester which is 20% tougher and stronger than most tires that are similar. He also said the rugged treks were tested extensively at cooper’s off road test site in west Texas before coming to market and that the XL load rated version is as durable and tough as a C load rated tire. He did not recommend an E load rated tire on a 4Runner.
