Hard working American or not has nothing to do with this situation, plain and simple, it is minimal damage. It's not like the bumper wasn't delivered when promised. This situation is covered in the Terms of Service, that means OP agreed to these terms when he ordered, that is SSOs policy. Expecting a new bumper for that little bit of damage from a shipper is unrealistic in anybody's world except for a few people on here. It's a scratch. If it was a dent even as small as a quarter I could understand a little more of the hate seen on this thread.

If OP wants a full replacement which a lot of us feel is unreasonable, then time will not be on his side. Corporate wheels do not turn quickly
All of these fabricators are on full blown schedules and product is not just lying around. It is usually made to order. And then your at the mercy of powder coaters schedules as well.

As far as Baja Racks, they had horrible wait times and customer service when I bought mine 6 years ago, so each situation is different.
SSO is NOT Amazon with Billions in capital. They are a grass roots company trying to put out some quality product. The man said Fed Ex damages 1-4 orders a week, maybe they're already into dozens of SSO damage claims for the year.

SSO put out a credible response in this thread and then was basically attacked by other members without any skin in the game. Isn't the internet a wonderful thing, keyboard critics are everywhere.

@SouthernSS I would stay hands off this thread and try to make OP as happy as possible, because the pile on posters are out for blood, and even though none of them are out any money at all, I see no way of making them happy. OP I hope your experience gets better.
STILL SMDH......

Minimal damage , paint it and enjoy. Petty complaint IMO

Two things...First of all, It is minimal damage and can be rattle canned. Secondly, SSO and all bumper manufacturers should just offer bare steel only from now on. Thats what I would do.

LMFAO... lightly sand it, wipe it down with windex and hit that spot with steelit and move on. You're going to have plenty more of those between highway and trail. I had my sso on for 2 years of NE winters, light sanded and hit with steelit last fall. Its still in immaculate shape. Meanwhile my victory rear bumper started rusting right out of the box; great product, shit p-coat.

as far as quality. due to shity tires and my position on a narrow trail, I had my bud (high centered on a rock in water) linked to my trailer hitch and a jeep helping me pull him out off one of the sso D-ring points. Got him out and the bumper didn't deflect in the slightest. Just saying, thats quality.
I would if it was just the powder coat. The corner of the bumper is bashed in like it was hit with a sledgehammer and the steel is bent and deformed. It looks bad. I can't really fix it. If I bash it on the trail that's on me. If it comes that way it kinda sucks.

Then that is definitely something either the shipping company should reimburse or SSO should make it right.

You do realize these bumpers have a lead time for a reason right?

You think they can shit out a bumper for this guy within a week when they're asking 10-12 week lead times upon ordering? Come on man gtfoutta here.

That means somebody out there is getting their bumper order pushed back and that's not fair for SSO to take the brunt of the shit for the shipping company's ****up. SSO makes a fine product and they have the customer service to back it.

I ordered from them, a hybrid front bumper. I am looking forward to it coming. I was going to go pick it up but it was cheaper to ship so I will sit here and wait.

You’re right and you’re way closer than I am. I may do bare metal and powder coat locally.

You do realize the OP has waited over 6+ months for a replacement, on top of the 2-3 months for the original bumper? You can’t possibly think waiting 9-10 months for a product is acceptable? Sounds like you need to GTFO of here and get a clue.
