I posted a few months ago and got few replies. I also found a few write ups on Trail4Runner.com, bu t nothing else. So that's your best bet.
I started to install some, but haven't found the time or desire to finish, because I find for most of what I do, the lights I put on my roof rack are sufficient. Some day I may finish.
My plan if I do get around to it:
1) Two on magnet mounted to frame that supports rear bumper, to throw light in back when camping + using the tail area for cooking etc.
2) One below passenger door on either side, mounted to Rago mount bolted to frame under slider. This will throw light in front of rear wheel and also on side of car for ambient light when camping.
(If you have 8 you could put one just behind front wheel and just in front of rear wheel instead ...)
3) One on magnet mounted to L bracket on either side of radiator mount pointed slightly forward to throw light in front of front wheel.
That gives you some light for actual rock crawling and light for ambient light if you are camping.
Running wires to the back is a giant pain. Best advice I got there is to get some fish sticks and run the wire through the frame rails.
If you do put them on post pictures for the rest of us.
