First oil change question ...brand swaps

might be a stupid question

but i got 3000kms on my 2021 venture. at 4000km im planning to do my first oil change.

i live in Canada what oil would you recommend me
is mobile1 0W20 or 10w30 ? or 5w30

and then the more important question it seems here that oils go on sale almost half off when buying from canadian tire
is it ok if i buy say mobile1 this oil change then next time get whatever brand is on sale

basically can i keep switching brands each time.. that wont effect anything right?

Any off the shelf brand of the correct viscosity will work. The engine doesn't care about the brand.

The correct viscosity should be on your oil cap but the manual will also list it.

You don't want to give Toyota any reason to balk at a warranty claim, so I'd stick with the recommended oil weight they spec (0W20), especially during the warranty period. Save your receipts, if you, or a private shop are doing the oil changes, I keep a small notebook in the glovebox and document all oil changes, tire rotations, filter changes, etc., and the date/mileage when the work was performed. Any "quality" synthetic oil in the proper weight, will work just fine in the engine. P.S. when's JT going to open the border?

First, you must stay with synthetic oil. Recommend weight.

In the US, scheduled maintenance is free for the first two years or 24000 miles. I thought that was the same in Canada. If so, let the dealer do it.
