Navigation help

My 2016 4Runner Limited with navigation and XM radio is bugging me. I hate the split screen view that shows one side with the XM info and the other half with the map. If I touch the map side it goes to full screen but reverts back to the split screen in just a minute. I don't need to see the XM info at all and want the map to stay full size all the time unless I do need to see the radio info. Darned if I can figure out how to set it to just map. I am sure there is a way and it probably is in the owner's manual but I have not found it yet.
Any assistance will be greatly appreciated.

My wife's 2018 4Runner Limited just started having this problem a couple of weeks ago. Not sure what's causing this. I haven't changed any settings nor made any software updates. Hopefully someone has figured out how to fix this problem.

Seems like I answered this last week, but can’t find the thread.

Under General settings, change the return to Home Screen setting to off. If that doesn’t work, it’s likely a glitch in the matrix. That’s the only setting I recall that would be related.

Thank You Meltdown. That appears to have fixed the issue but I will know better tomorrow once I go for a drive. What is more baffling is how/why did this setting get changed without me ever doing anything to change it? I absolutely never went into the general settings and checked that box but somehow it got checked on it's own. My map page was always full screen up until a few weeks ago.

No software update either? Wouldn't the limiteds need some sort of connection to get XM? Maybe Toyota pushed an update

That is all I can assume, Either Toyota or XM pushed some sort of update or possibly even some garbage from Apple on my Iphone with the Entune program. At any rate I was driving when this happened and I kept switching to the full screen but it kept going back to split screen.

Thanks! Tried this today and it worked perfectly. Now the screen stays on audio, navigation, etc. vice always switching back to the home split-screen view.
