NAPA Awning and OEM Roof Rails

Hello all,

I see lots of people buying the 99$ NAPA Awning on FB and all some other platforms, but I can't seem to get a straight answer :

Is the awning compatible with the OEM roof rails ?

If so, did you use the provided NAPA hardware ?

Thanks !

These are just a cheap version of a CVT awning. They have the same fabric, same extruded aluminum mounting frame, and mount the same way. Many people mount the CVT awnings to factory racks without an issue, and I'm thinking the same with the one from Napa. Here's a decent thread about it, and here's a Youtube video of one being installed on a factory rack on a GX.

Do you have the crossbars? I just used this method (second or third comment, pictures farther down) yesterday to mount the NAPA awning and it worked great. Hardest part was removing the roof rack end caps without snapping them lol.

This is my 2nd Awning, 1st Maxi trac ..

Prev was 2 Meter = 6 foot.. 2.5M yea.. just over 8 feet will fit.. just overhang above the driver roof..

I used Rago Fab mounts using my OEM side rails..

Hope it helps!

I just drilled through the cross bars to mount mine...

Planning on getting a roof rack sometime later so its just temporary.

Just picked up this awning for $80! Napa is having a 20% 3+ items sale and this is included, so is a decent number of their other Maxi Trac stuff! Couldn't pass up the price!

These don't seem to be available in the southern region that I've searched.

Can anyone confirm if this awning fits an oem trd pro roof rack without any drilling or cutting?
