2021 4Runner LED Reverse Light… loose in socket?

Is anyone else’s like this? Owned since new. Did an LED swap and noticed neither the OEM glass *** or *** replacement LED “click” in. They slide in then practically right back out. This is on both sides for reverse lights.

Turn signal bulbs were not like this at all, and have a satisfying click when they go in. Both sides snap in strongly.

That’s not to say that it would seat firmly or snap in if the flare wasn’t in the way, but per the post I ordered some no-run hobby glue and plan on placing a dot or two on the side of the LED as a BRIDGE to just the very edge, once seated, and keep it out of the socket near the contacts.

As a backup plan, if I ruin anything, I’ve already ordered Diode Dynamics “Tail as turn” kit where i will be able to repurpose my turns as reverse, if necessary.

I honestly don't recall having any issue swapping out my reverse bulbs with LEDs, besides the fact that there's not a ton of room to get your hand in there or not a lot of slack in the wire loom to get the bigger LED bulb in. But I also might be thinking of the turn signal bulbs since those are higher up. Either way I don't remember any issues with them being loose. So basically I'm of no help lol besides saying are you putting them in the holes the right way! hahahaha
