sway bar creaking noise?

So i just installed a OME lift up front with Toytec rear springs and 5100s on the rear. Everything worked fine and it has been about a month. Today i noticed a creaking sound coming from the rear. I think it is coming from the rear sway bar rubber bracket. Do you know if the sway bar rotates within this bracket as the suspension moves up and down and is this something i should be worried about? this is a 19 runner with no kdss.

It does rotate, yes.

The only way to know for sure is to remove the bar and see if the noise goes away.

Check your Front Sway Bar where it is close to or touching the Skid Plate Bracket

Check two things:
  1. 1. The Sway Bar at the front where it may be rubbing on the driver's side Skid Plate Bracket. I have an ICON Stage 3 and it was binding up there. I had to drop the driver's side bracket with two fender washers at both ends.
  2. 2. Check where the E-Brake Cable routes through an eye loop that is bolted to the rear lower trailing arm. You can bend that bracket a bit and/or spray some silicone in there.

I had BOTH of these issues on mine.

Good Luck!
