Oh Em GEE - Another SCS Ray10 + KO2!

Thanks to countless research, and thanks to many posts on this forum I was able to procure some SCS Ray 10 (Matte Dark Bronze 17x9 -38) and some BFGoodrich A/T KO2 (285/75/R17).

Sadly, I cannot put them on yet. But here is a pic of them, and DAMN in person this combo SLAPS. I mean cot damn she is sexy.

There aren't AS MANY 2XX/75 combos on here so I wanted to just give some folks another thread to follow should they want to go this route.

Here are the things I am doing to make this fit:

- ARB OME 3" suspension (been on back order for 4 months - the struts and rear shocks have landed in the US as of today! Yota Mafia has some in stock if you want some NOW). I went with medium load springs all around for now
- BMC and pinch welds (Getting this done this week)

I am hoping this enough. The 285/17 KO2 measure 33.8". The stock size for reference is 265/70/R17 (31.6").

I will post updates on what I need to do to make them fit and reviews of the tires/suspension later.

Cheers!

Thanks! Love at first sight!

It's really hard to buy wheels online without ever seeing them in person but now I understand why these are so popular. Fairly priced, and lucky for me local for pick up. The buying process can be frustrating for some, but if you want them you will find a way!

Have similar setup but 295/70/17 also on -38mm. I did bmc and fender trim. But your tires are ~ 0.25mm taller

So far, my pinch welds have not been an issue

SCS wheels are awesome! I'll be following this thread closely. I will be purchasing the same wheels (only in black), but my 4Runner hasn't even been built yet. So it might be a bit yet. Also planning on 295 tires.

You’re gonna love the combo and look…. That matte bronze will look great against the Superwhite. I had that wheel/tire combo on my Natural White 4th Gen but at -10 offset. I’m currently running -38 on my 5th Gen but I’m brushed copper. Enjoy!

Here’s my Ray10’s 295/70/17 Blizzard Pearl

I haven’t done the pinch welds yet as I’m not rubbing. But I did cut off the ears near the body mount.

Looks great. Are you running 295’s or 285/75-17’s? Also, is that the C4 low pro? The transition from the TRD Pro skid plate to the bumper looks good. I am having my C4 Pro integration skid, trans and transfer case and differential skids powder coated at this time. The Low Pro is my next mod. Any cons on the bumper? TIA

C4 high clearance additions adds a finish look to any c4 bumper :-)

285. The wings or “high clearance editions” are a bit tricky to install. It’s just a cramped space where the bolts mount. It’s also a bit tricky to ensure that both sides are at the same height. I had to do a lot of adjustments. Tightening. Loosening. Shifting. I would tell you…. Find every picture online with C4s and examine the cut line closely before you cut. My cut was probably a couple MM too high. But luckily the trim I used compensates for the gap between the cut bumper and the HC additions.

I opted for the ExtremeLED 30” to install in the slot. The included mounting brackets didn’t position the bar very flushly so we manufactured some better brackets.

Hope that helps!
