Steering column rattle

There is a rattle that coming from my steering wheel column. It sounds like a vibrating plasticky sound that when I put pressure on, it goes away. I had taken the T4R to the dealer to have a look at it and they blamed it on the tires that came with the truck and told me to basically eff off and live with it.

Are there any instructions online on how to remove the black plastic trim cover so I can get to the rattle myself? I remove the two screws that are hidden behind the steering wheel but was still not able to open the cover.

The factory repair manual (TOYOTA 2016-2019 4Runner Repair Manual RM27F0U) will show how to disassemble the steering column.

But, since there is an air bag in the steering wheel that could explode unexpectedly, you need to be careful in taking it apart.

Mine does intermittently. I expect it is airbag wiring rattling based on fixing several cars with the same concern. I'm too busy to pull it apart.
