Trim it. Locate where its rubbing. And then trim it until it no longer rubs….its plastic.

Haha…very true! Just didn’t realize how much lifting and going to bigger tires would be such a combination lock. I researched the hell out of it before upgrading, but wound up with the typical answer for 4Runners…it depends. No guarantees.

Beyond frustrated that I’m still dealing with this…just about want to get rid of the 4Runner for good.
Rim offset is hurting you.
Do you have any wheel spacers? Those do not help rubbing!
Lift also doesn’t help tire fitment, but that’s a different discussion.

I don’t have wheel spacers. What should my offset be? Unfortunately, I couldn’t go with less offset due to the loss of backspacing…uca manufacturer (Jba) recommends 4.75” or more to clear the the Uca. I considered more offset, but was under the impression that the increased radius of the turning wheels would create even more rubbing.

This is why I love the "will it rub?" question. Maybe? Maybe not? But, probably. They all do. There is no golden answer to it except to stay stock.

thats the correct impression about more radius. foolproof way : remove spring, cycle suspension with tire mounted, trim where needed. or just keep trimming until it stops rubbing.

UCA manufacturer may be screwing you a bit too, but go try and get some stock rims, swap your tires onto them, and tell us if it is better or worse ;)
