Canvasback AND Cargo Mat?
Lining up all the things I’m going to buy and I am definitely getting canvasbacks for the rear of the second row seats. I might get the piece for the cargo area too.
But then I got to thinking. Is the rubber cargo liner better? Or, does it make sense to get the full canvasback liner for the cargo area AND put a rubber cargo liner on top? Or is all of that just a waste?

Definitely get a cargo mat if you have dogs. They will scratch the Canvasback and slide around., but do both for sure.

Thanks all. I do have a dog so that was my main reason for the canvasbacks. I wasn’t sure if the rubber liner would slide around or if it was just unnecessary.
I appreciate it!

I have canvas back covers for the full rear area, I also have the cargo mat. I no longer use the cargo mat as I built a platform to level out the entire cargo area.

I also have both and a dog. I keep my dog in a kennel and have no sliding with that setup.
The mat catches and keeps spills from the water bowl. Its a good thing to have IMO.

I was thinking of doing the same thing. What brand rubber cargo liner are y'all using over the canvasback?

I actually have a canvas back on order. going to be 4-6 week delay FYI. I also have the OEM third row seatback plastic cover + rear cargo area cover
I will probably just run the canvas back, I find the OEM cover velco comes off a lot especially if you are loading and unloading stuff frequently. I find cargo gets stuck behind the edges of the mat and pulls it up
I like the fact that canvas back has all seat backs and floor area in their product, it looks clean and people seem to love their products

Just to be clear, the OEM third row cargo area mat and seat back cover are only available in Canada, part number PK241-89H01-01. The US version, part number PT218-89111, does NOT cover the seat backs and works only when the third row seats are folded, i.e. you have to remove the cargo mat when raising the third row seats. Thus I got rid of the US version. Anyone that wants it can have it for just the shipping costs.
Although I live in the US, I was able to order the third row cargo mat with seat back covers from a Canadian dealer.
I have not had the problem that Humble Leader describes with the Canadian version of the third row cargo mat.

people rave about the Canadian cargo mat but mine I can lift the velcro off with one finger. it's like the velcro hooks don't even want to hook into the fabric of the seats. Mind you I have a 2012 and they earliest year they had for the cargo mat (I bought it years later) was 2014 so perhaps this is my issue

I have the Canadian cargo liner in my 2011 Limited and the velcro secures the liner to the cargo area carpeting and back seat carpeting quite well. I'm throwing in and pulling out my goalie gear to/from the cargo area throughout the hockey season and the liner stays in place for me.

ok so it's just me then oh well, I really did like the fact that the liner has some hardness to it but it doesn't seem to be working for me. if I really like the canvas back maybe I'll give the OEM liner to someone on here for free
