Dual Batt Tray For Storage Only?

I use a Smittybuilt air compressor. It come in a nice fitted bag that also holds the hose, air chuck and some fittings.

Ive seen people use dual batt trays to mount this exact compressor under the hood similar to the ARB.

I am more curious if there is a small tool box or plastic tote that will fit the compressor and small enough to fit on the battery tray?

I have seen people put ammo cans in there for storage:

I may do the same.

I would think that a surplus .30 or .50 cal ammo can would fit easily. Then you could just drill through the bottom of the can to secure it with bolts to the battery tray.

I'd use a surplus metal ammo can as someone has already said. They are water tight and mostly bomb proof. Plastic ones may not hold up great YMMV...
