Loveland, CO
I am headed to Loveland at the end of the month to instruct at Overland Expo Mountain West. Great event series (AZ in Sep and VA in Oct).
Is anyone familiar with the area and know how the weather and bugs are this time of year? Influence what gear I bring. Looking at historical data it looks like the temp is between 80-60 with daily precipitation.
Probably try to hit up some Ozark Mtn trails and Rocky Mtn trails on the way (driving from FL).

Generally, highs in the mid 80's and lows in the high 50's. Every once in a while a really cool night (low 40's) or 95 degree day. Expect it to be windy. It's the tail end of monsoon season so it can rain very hard for brief periods, sometimes hail too. However, generally dry. It's been wet so the bugs are out, (Mosquitos and gnats mainly) but nothing like where you're from.
You'll need good cover from the sun. It's a mile high here and the sun is much more intense here than elsewhere.
What class you teaching? I'll be there too

Thanks. I’ll be teaching Trip Planning.
Might be on a Travel with Dogs and Traveling with Kids panel. Still awaiting final schedule. They have been a little slower this year with all the schedules.

Kyle. I’ll be camping. White T4R. Should have black flag up with same symbol as profile pic.
