Solved C 1413 abs' slip and 4x4 hi blinking.

4runner abs, slip and 4x4 hi blinking. Checked code with moto data /toyota diagnostic addon. C 1413 is abs code for front right abs sensor circuit. None of the regular cures worked, for.e.g cleaning the sensor.TestIng the sensor and wire for open/shorts yielded no abnormalities.
The resolution.
There was piece of debris on the abs reluctor ring that was throwing off the abs sensor signal . Once the debris was cleaned the abs, slip and the blinking 4x4 hi lights all went out on there own.

2010 4runner.recently put a three inch lift.week later she went crazy on a tight curve engaging the abs systems.vsc indicator light came on.no other lights.I should have calibrated her immediately after the lift. Now I can't even do that due to vsc codes.DAC and A Trac are disabled.i can't complete the calibration procedure because during the step when you wait for the abs and vsc indicator lights to flash at a steady pace the vsc light flashes codes. Tried all procedures to clear codes.Disconnect battery, pulled ecu fuses and all the rest, did the relearn procedure with key sequence.would think it's more important to calibrate the 4runner than figuring out how to erase the vsc codes temporarily.vsc codes 39-left rear speed sensor debris.tested all speed sensors and abs cables for correct resistance and voltage.vsc light remains on and flashes the same code.actually prefer driving without the abs systems but I use them off road.intelligent knowledge would be much appreciated!!

I'm having the same problem but my 4 wheel drive light doesn't come on and still works. My abs systems DAC and A TRAC are disabled though. I also pulled a code 13 and 39 left rear debris. I've tested each sensor and abs cables also. Pulled the sensors out and cleaned. You actually seen knowledgeable on this for a change! What did you do that I didn't? Can you explain how you cleaned this reluctor ring?

Read something on another manufacturer’s site about stability/traction control warnings coming on when cornering… after having added a lift.

This particular writing was a Range Rover that had the air suspension programmed to ride higher, and larger tires were then added (32” vs stock 30”).

I will try to find the link but it was something that had to do with conflicting inputs from different traction control systems. Not sure how they solved it.

If I find the link I’ll post it and leave it up to the community to see if anything translates into what you’re experiencing on your 4Runner.

Thank you that will be helpful! In the meanwhile all I care about is recalibrating my zero point data. So the abs functions that already work won't be disabled. The vsc speed sensor codes are preventing me from doing that. So can you tell me how your cleaned yours and cleared the codes??

I didn't clear the codes they go away on their own when you drive straight for a few hundred yards at like 25mph after the issue is resolved but you can clear the codes also Follow the fsm trouble shooting guide. it is pretty thorough. you've already tested the sensors and the circuit. Look through the abs opening' using a flash light and rotate the the wheel slowly while lifted to see if there is any debris on the reluctor.
I can post the fsm pages for you if you don't have access to the fsm.
or you can download it but do not repost it on any other site
TOYOTA 2016-2019 4Runner Repair Manual RM27F0U
Code 13 is C0273 causes: Open in abs motor relay circuit.
Brake actuator assambly.
IGI terminal voltage is below 9.5
The relay contact remains open, when relay is on.
Code 39 you already know..
AFAIK , You cannot do a zero point calibration until you resolve the abs codes.

Thanks I'll try the manual procedures. I just replaced my front axles, when I did that I cleaned the top layer of dirty grease out and the sensors. Replaced removed grease with same amount of clean grease. The abs works when I stomp on the brakes... Mind of her own. I'll try the flashlight method you mentioned on the back sensors. Hopefully I'll get it done one of these days! I like running it old school, no traction, anyways. Thanks for that link I'm going to try it and let you know.
