You’re onto something. Is the actual wiring different for the models that included factory LED or just the bulbs? Seems an OEM would pull a stunt like this.
I haven’t done any upgrades to my Nightshade 4R yet but I had another (Dodge) vehicle that included a wiring harness for my specific vehicle, along with their LED kit.
Backstory - The bulbs lit up, but the switching from low/high was not functional. However, after searching forums, I ran into another poster who had the same issue. No help from the supplier of the bulbs/kit (we’ll call them Headlight Amateurs) so he went to DDM and ordered just the relay kit for a Ford with the same bulb type. Beam switching worked now. Which was unexpected because I had read Dodge has unique wiring for their H13 sockets.
