Warn Semi Hidden bumper on a 14+ Limited

Well, follow along as I attempt to make a semi hidden bumper look decently ok on a 2015 Limited.

Now, I know that I'll have to chop the chrome piece in the middle, so I will most likely sand down and paint either side matte black to match the Warn bumper.

Keep you Posted. It's ordered, just awaiting delivery.

Also, here's a trail obstacle my Jeep walked up, but having an IFS vehicle makes it more important to choose a good line.

First I used painters tape to make some measurements, so I could reference where to cut.

After removing all of the plastic clips and giving the bumper a gentle tug on the outside corners...
I removed the front aluminum and foam impact items

After removing the chrome bits, it was time to cut. I used a vibe saw, it worked amazing, but any saw will do.

The front chrome piece needed a trim of about 1/2"
Be sure to use a cut off wheel, as there is metal below the chrome (I thought it was just plastic at first)

Close Up

The support brackets needed a little trim to clear the sway bar.

I fabbed up a bracket for each side of the bumper to support the lower part of the bumper, so it didn't get ripped off,
or vibrate around.

Here is a finished look. It looks better in person, the phone camera makes it look kind of meh

And here is some trimming pictures for 33" tires <285/70/17> on TRD Replica rims which have 5mm of offset.
Tires pictured are not the 33's

I used the vibe saw on the front, with some heat gun action.
