Yes, it has two actually, one on either side of the oil pipe. I've checked mine a bunch of times and never replaced the washer and had no leaks. I always make sure to torque it back.

another piece of cheap insurance is to check or just replace the PCV valve every once in a while. They are like $5.

Put your VIN# in this site below and you can look up specific part numbers. yours may be different than mine. This is a great site that I've been using for a while to find part#'s.

I agree. I have asked countless questions, some actually stupid or right in front of me, and not one member has been an ass or anything less than nice. It’s a great forum. Forums typically reflect a lot about the product, too. Says something!

If you’re changing your oil on time there should be no reason for those filters to have any build up.

P0012 + P0022 hopefully gone !

Thanks for the info guys, I have been struggling with these codes for a while now.

In my case the VVT sensors were the culprit, covered in sludge.

My OCV solenoids looked fine and the filters were a bit dirty, shook them in a bottle of Isopropyl Alcohol.

Just added some Sea Foam so will do another oil change in a couple hundred miles.

wish me luck,

Dave

Do you have any photos of the VVT sensors covered in sludge? Do you know what caused the sludge buildup? I'm always curious about anything maintenance related. Keep up posted on the sea foam please. Good Luck!

Totally unnecessary unless you like to take things apart and have copious amount of time. I just replaced PCV on my 2004 sludge prone 4.0 V6 and it looked and sounded perfect just as it was new. Save your effort for more useful stuff, better yet ,if I may recommend, get an oil catch can to keep oil residue from entering intake valves and combustion chamber.
