Yessir, i think you’ll be just fine. Moab has a spectrum of trails from easy to extreme and you’ll have ample time to gather info before you head out. Lots of trails in arches NP, canyonlands NP and Moab proper are challenging but are nothing a mildly/moderately built rig can’t handle.

Fins and things, Hells revenge, Tower arch trail, white rim, chicken corners, gemini bridges, Shafer trail, etc. should all be very doable for your rig with some careful driving on the first two on the list.

***Victory4x4 rear bumper***

Didn’t think this would’ve arrived before our Moab trip! #stoked

Now to prime, paint, trim and install.

Also, we’re loving the AJC gear plate. Installed an ICECO slide and some tiedowns.

I’ll try to get a shot all loaded up. Have to keep it empty since the 4runner is used during the week for family errands. (Which is great since it gives us a good chance to test out/road test all our mods so far between trail rides.)

So strange, all i see is the file name.jog in place of where images go.

Oh well, probably just a mobile web glitch. Here’s some pics of the bumper installed.

I was having that same issue. Can you take another look? I see them back now.

Might have had something to do with the title change. I reverted back to what it was, and the links seem to be working again.

Okay now the pictures are back, super weird!

Awesome progress on the build! Love the rear bumper.

Edit: What fire extinguisher and mount is that, BTW?

Thanks for checking! And yeah, Victory makes an awesome bumper. Very slick design and fairly easy install (other than the big "gulp" cut you need to make.)

You know, i got the fire extinquisher from a local shop called Off-road Warehouse. Not sure on the make. It was NOT cheap. This pricing/design is about right:

DV8 Offroad Jeep Wrangler Fire Extinguisher Mount D-FIREX-MNT-DOR

I will say that it's the ONLY part of my rear cargo solution that rattles...lol. I might have to figure something out to quiet it down. VERY secure/slick design otherwise - it's 100% secure until you pull the release lever and then it pops right off.

question: I might have missed it in the thread, I checked but didn't see any mention of an onboard air set up. are you planning on doing one of those mods?

Good question! Just a cheapie compressor for now. Might end up upgrading to a Viair, if needed.

I was thinking of running a viair onboard set up for the 400 series compressor. I was going to mount it in the engine bay and thought I'd check this thread to see if you had did one. I always see how people with experience do their mods, see how much time it takes them and then multiply that by 10 to get an idea of how long it will take me lol

what about a diff breather? I've been thinking of this as well. I'm still 50/50 on whether they are that useful if you aren't going through cold water deeper than your door sills

Haha, well, I’ve definitely mulled the hard-mount idea. I’m still sifting through varied reports of compressors getting hammered by the constant heat of the engine compartment and having issues with seals, etc.

And as far as diff breather’s go, they’re definitely on my list. I’ve opened enough diffs with a nice milkshake in them to want to avoid that experience if possible. The ARB kit is expensive-ish, but i like that it’s a package deal and can be added to:

ARB 4x4 Accessories 170112 Differential Axle Breather Kit for drivetrain differentials, transmissions and transfer cases Amazon.com: ARB 4x4 Accessories 170112 Differential Axle Breather Kit for drivetrain differentials, transmissions and transfer cases : Automotive

Here’s their replacement tubing kit, too, to set aside for replacements or to expand to the tranny/tcase.
