JBL Audio Problems

(Second problem ever with my 4runner)
Hit 125,000 miles in the 2010 trail-- have the JBL premium with navigation, and a couple of months back talking over bluetooth with my phone, I noticed a large amount of distortion coming from the right dash speaker, to the point where I have to turn down the volume on the calls to actually hear the other person talking.
After that, the volume and sound quality of the stereo has completely diminished. The volume is much lower than before at any level, and distortion is much higher on the R dash tweeter especially at certain frequencies (radio talk/voices). The speakers are all firing -- but at much lower volumes. I can't hear/feel the sub and it all sounds very anemic.
I took it into our local Best Buy (only stereo shop around), and (without any true diagnostics) they wanted to replace my head unit, amp, and all the speakers.
The one 3.5 on the dash appears to be the most affected but all the speakers are softer.
Any ideas?
Thanks!

Hi Winstondvm,

Here's a couple of audio tutorial essays (w/pleanty of photos) that you may find to be helpful... 'BEFORE ' Spending any Cash: "the alpine 1" dash component review" ...got bass? The "Party mode" tweak! (non JBL) These will give you some ideas as to what may be done about the issues at hand and the options that are readily available!

Did you get a response? I have the exact same problem on my 2017 limited.
