Hard tangent but I liked the Entune on my Chevy Volt, I had a 2012. Was that 2.0 or 3.0? Maybe Toyota had a shitty implementation prior to 3.0.

Does the 2020 4runner version head unit of entune have CarPlay?

I have a 2018 TRD Pro and I had a mandatory update on my Entune this morning as I left for work. Downloaded in the background (interesting because it did it as I was leaving the neighborhood well outside of range of my Wi-Fi) and installed within a few minutes. The radio station I had going continued to play throughout the update.

After the update I had a third page of apps with lots of new stuff. The only one I can remember off the top of my head is iHeartRadio.

Anyway, I really like how the stock system looks. It's a nice simplistic flow that matches the overall spirit of the vehicle. The only thing that bothers me is the cookie cutter genre photos that show in place of the actual album art when I'm using Bluetooth. Maybe this latest update fixes it... I'll have to switch to Bluetooth on the way home.

On topic, I've looked at several aftermarket options and have seen a few I'd like to try but I always end up settling on "I like this" as soon as I get into the truck.

There was something IDENTICAL about the maps. That shows the food/gas/attractions exit by exit.

Thought Entune was the name of the vendor in common but not the case apparently.
