the point is to keep it out of overdrive. you still need to shift to third on hills for keeping 70. you do realizde these things make like 200HP to the wheels right?

Can you drive under 70 on the steep climbs?

If you have to get something now, I'd consider the Wrangler 4xe, Wrangler 392,
or a Lexus GX.

Personally, I ordered the Bronco with 2.7 engine and will wait. If the 6th gen is super nice, I may cancel the Bronco and stay with Toyota.

I really thought I was all in on the bronco…… until I learned it would be 2023 before I got one. No thanks.
Second, Ford isn’t inspiring much confidence with their quality issues (roof) for the new bronco.

The GX was a greet ride — sometimes I wish I hadn’t sold it. but my plan is to do a bit more off roading more often and while I get a GX can be modded to suit my needs, I think the 3 horse comparison for me has the 4Runner, wrangler, and new bronco.

On the 4xe, I think it’s a great idea. The electric motor gives a nice boost to the turbo 4 when being used as an adjunct.
However, it’s brand new and I don’t trust it just yet. Especially since fiat helped design it.

I think in time, these engine set ups will be common place. By then, Monster V8’s likely won’t be readily available.
So, that’s why I’m so strongly considering the 392. I also have some withdrawal and miss the exhaust note from my Shelby GT350R.
