Honestly - it's closer than I would have thought given the huge turbo advantage at elevation. The Bronco has a lot bigger tires - but it should have way better net gearing.

I would really love to see something like a Mint 400 or Baja 1000 with both head to head in stock class. The 4R is so old that I can't see Toyota running it again, but maybe a privateer. - The LC200 stock class beat the class 2 with bronco skin in 2019, but lost in 2020. That's probably the closest we'll get and it's not really very reflective of either 4R or the production bronco. Only reference I have there is that the same LC200 that is still running year after year was raced in 2010 head to head with the 4R and was about 40 minutes faster (over 33 hours, so kinda close-ish).

Lets see whos still going at 400k

So the Bronco is faster with the turbo and it should be, but if I wanted speed I wouldn't have bought a 4runner or a bronco to begin with. Lets see whos still going at 400K doubt the bronco going to see much action over 200k

I’ll take my rattle trap 4Runner with tires I can’t balance before I even consider a Ford. People have a very short memory

Well, from 0-60,000 miles you will fight with Ford over their horrific quality control and attitude that you should please never buy their cars again. Then the real fun begins. Every part they can possible make with enslaved children in China will be falling apart, yet they are “within spec”. I could go on and on, but as a former owner of Fords my entire life, including ‘15 GT 5.0 and ‘17 F150 5.0, I can tell you that you are making a huge mistake thinking a Bronco was ever engineered and built like a Toyota. Don’t do it. And I say this as someone who’s pretty ticked about my first Toyota. Toyota makes Ford look like garbage when you actually own them.

On my F250 the sensors are usually sold as a "kit" that includes a plug with pigtails - because the wiring quality is so bad that is usually a toss up between whether the sensor is bad or the wiring just failed. Or both. And the quality of the sensors means it's constantly throwing an error code. I had a exhaust back pressure sensor fail this week. Has 108k miles on it. It's not the first replacement of this sensor. Just junk parts.

If you want speed, you buy a raptor.

Perhaps a more reasonable proving ground in this video.

I love my 74 Bronco. I love my ‘15 4RN. I also think Ford nailed the new Bronco.

Looks awesome and at some point I’d love to have one.

However, the towing capacity is something I just can’t part with at this time, all g with the bullet proof reliability that the Yota has.

Oooh, I hope they sell more Santa Cruzes after this mash up.

I appreciate this drag race as it tells me we’re able to keep up with a $60k Bronco if one was to ever cut us off. We’ll just have to tell them off in two sentences or less.
