Slightly different size tires with a locking rear end?

My forerunner has the blocker rear end. I just got a flat tire and my spare is not quite as big of diameter as the Other rear tire. Do the locker rear ends have spider gears in them? If so how fast should you go? I’ve got like about a 50 mile drive to the nearest tire shop

It’s an open diff with an elocker. Might set off some VSC errors due to wheel speed sensors, but otherwise it should be okay.

It’s an open diff until you lock it so as long as it’s a TRD off road/TRD pro and you leave it in rear wheel drive and don’t drive too fast you shouldn’t damage anything. Don’t engage 4x4 obviously. What are the respective sizes?

If it was my truck however I’d pay for a tow truck to the nearest tire shop, and make sure you buy a spare tire of the correct size too to avoid this hassle next time you get a flat!

I understand your spare is smaller size...maybe 265-70-17 and your other 4 are a little larger size, maybe?

But. what is a "forerunner & blocker rear end'?
I think you meant 4Runner & locker rear end......

You shouldn't engage the locker unless you are stuck or should need it to prevent being stuck or needing it it to climb.

So driving 50 miles with a tire that's 1/2" shorter, you should be ok!
