Best Low Profile Roof Racks
I am looking to get a roof rack for my 2019 4Runner. Unfortunately, the fit into my garage is tight. I have right around 4.5" of clearance above my roof into the garage door after my lift and 285 tires. That being said, I wanted to see what roof racks you guys recommend that are very tight to the roof. Gobi's are out. The flat Baja rack is 4" clearance, but that is still pretty damn tight. The victory 4x4 says it is 2.5" above the highest point, and that is where I am leaning now, but I wanted to see if anyone had any other ideas or if there are alternate mounting options for popular racks to make them more slimline.

My SSO rack is extremely close to the roof. I park under a 4 post lift in my garage and can juuuuuust fit with it installed. It sits just a hair over the top of the existing shark fin antenna on the roof. I'll try to pull down a more accurate measurement next time I'm out there.
For what it's worth, the sherpa rack looks to be very similar in height as does the Prinsu.

The OEM (Toyota) cross rails on my 2018 were very low to the roof, in fact, they were too low to mount my Yakima sky box. The sky box mounting clamps would touch the top of the roof and scratch the paint.
The OMAC cross rails were almost as low too.

If you know the victory 4x4 is 2.5" clearance, then you've already answered yourself (?). Prinsu is the other low profile rack. Both are pretty low cost compared to other racks.

check these guys out. I really like their crossbars and you can order 4 of them to make a rack if you have crossbars. but the wait time + shipping and conversion to CAD it's just so expensive so I went with something else

I recommend Nise Rack if you're you don't need a full sized roof rack solution: 5th Gen Aluminum Roof Rack Using OEM Siderails: NiseRack
Took me about 4 days to get the Nise Rack components and 10 days for the TNutz extrusions. Had everything installed in about a week and a half of ordering everything.

I went with Victory cross bars (2) and they added no height to the roof rack. I just fit into my garage with my basic gear on top. I probably should have gotten 3.
If you are looking for a full roof rack replacement, others can provide better input than I.

Hi, Thank you. I have seen it on their website.
Did you install Light Bar upfront and any other lights around the rack?
I would like to know if I can place extra Pods around and even in the back?
Thanks.

Take a look at Greenlane Off-road, prices are in Canadian dollars so you pay less. Great fit and finish, good YouTube video on the product

Highest point that I was able to measure was about 4.75" off the roofline and that was right at the drivers door. Most places in the 4" range. I have a lightbar up front and the top is even with the top of the cross bars so I can carry stuff up there without bumping the bar. Can't say about other pods. PM me with an email if you want pics or any other measurements. Happy to help
