torqueing that bolt on the ground is correct, but it wont change droop. man thats gonna be annoying if youre hearing it just dailying around.

I have loads of space between my king coil and the Dirt king upper. but im not running extended travel kings (it's only 1/2" extra droop i believe)

Have you tried reducing preload and then putting it on full droop?

OP, this is from IronMan website

Overview
Off-Road Upper Control Arms
The Ironman 4x4 upper control arms (UCAs) are engineered for direct replacement of the OEM UCAs.

Ironman 4x4 upper control arms are forged with four degrees of caster correction for ideal wheel alignment, correcting the vehicle’s geometry back to OEM specs, generating outstanding performance and ride quality.

The Pro Forge off-road upper control arms feature drop forged construction, resulting in improved strength to weight and increased directional strength while reducing stress in corners and filets. The precision of drop forging consistently results in superior strength, weight savings, and manufacturing tolerances when compared to machined, rolled, or other cast processes. If you need upper control arms for your lifted truck, check out our off-road UCA collection now.

I wonder if they didnt design them for extended travel? "direct replacment for OEM uppers" and more castor. but no comment on adding travel. Super annoying. before you buy another set maybe reach out to TC, DK, Camburg or whoever you like and verify you wont have contact. I wonder if the coilover assembly length is playing a factor as well.

Before I did anything else I would contact Ironman for their input. Give them a chance to comment.

It doesnt do it while dailying around, but if I hit a really big dip it'll have small contact. Off road is where it'll become a problem.

I dont want to mess with the pre load

Maybe you're right; maybe they are just the wrong arms for my application

I have; they are a great company, and they are looking into it, but no solution yet.

I replied on your other thread about the billet UCAs. Look into SPCs they are adjustable for both caster and camber to help you avoid making contact with your coil spring.

some in the 4runner groups had issues with the older spc's not holding adjustments the newer redesign has seemed to fixed it from what I have seen but understandable why many won't use them now. Funny as with my Xterra and many other models spc is highly loved.
