Installing TRD Pro bumper trim pieces on SR5
So last week I ordered the TRD Pro front grille pieces as well as the front/rear bumper garnish pieces, and just found out you need holes in your bumper to attach the bumper pieces....
Has anyone successfully installed the bumper pieces on an SR5?
Please/thanks in advance!!

As Far as the front and rear trim pieces go, you'd have to drill out holes and have the retaining clips and fasteners to make it work. The TRD Pro like the Trail have front and rear trim pieces that are clip in. IMO I'd send those pieces back get your $$ back and you could do what I did which is either get those areas vinyl wrapped, Plastidip them or even Line - X to give them the look of the trail or TRD Pro. Or if you could find someone with a Trail front bumper and rear you could do a swap with, but that's a lot more work than it needs to be IMO. I say send back and plastidip or vinyl wrap

Yeah, that's what I was starting to lean towards. How well has the vinyl wrapping on your front end held up this far? There's a place here in Austin that says they would do the lower lip for around $50, but not sure on lifetime expectancy, especially in the event it gets snagged/knicked by some brush..
Thanks, Dave!

So far my wrap has held up pretty good, eventually I'd like to line x as a permanent solution also plasti dip isn't bad since you can always peel it off or touch it up as necessary. $50 sounds like a pretty fair price.

Yeah $50 sounds real nice considering I spent $100 on getting mine done. Oh well I guess everything is just more expensive around here.

They're replacement parts, so both the grille and bumper trim are ready to go, just gotta have the holes in your bumper to receive the trim pieces..
Installed the TRD grille last night and threw on the radiator cap while I had that damn radiator cover off, and added the oil cap as well. I'm really diggin' the look of it on my silver, looks totally different!
I also threw on some AVS window shades, just forgot to snap a pic of all that stuff; I'll take a few in the morning.
Called my dealership this afternoon and spoke with the manager of the body shop concerning the TRD bumper trim. He wasn't sure if they can do it, but told me to bring it by Monday so his best guy can see if it's something he can do.
My buddy told me the place that did some cuttin on his F350 could do it, so I've still got some hope for my SR5 PRO lol

I love the TRD Pro front grille and trim.... but $699 is a little steep.... :-(
GREAT LOOKING Silver.... :-)
Are you going to get the TRD Pro black wheels? And did you replace the SR5 logo with the TRD PRO badge?

Thanks man, she's slowly coming together now...I wanted the TRDP or Trail, but we're expecting in May and my wife had to have the 3rd row, so I get to do whatever I want to it "as long as it doesn't look ghetto". 😉
I was really wanting the TRD wheels until I found out they're only 17x7, and I'm wanting at least x8 wheels..
I was able to find the TRDP badge cheap, just don't know if I will do the swap. Think I'll just steal the TRDP look for now, as I haven't seen another silver with the TRD grille anywhere.
Heck, I may just black out my SR5 emblems and throw the "Pro" ones behind em, as I'm really liking the sound of the "SR5 Pro". Call me crazy, but it is pretty original..
