Crazy price on 21 sr5 2wd
Can't believe the price on this thing. 2wd mall crawler all kitted out with 285s, trd skids, exhaust, wheels and winch. The TSX dealer mark up package. I get wanting the look of a 4wd, but for that price you should be able to get a 4wd.

AAAAAHAHAHAHAHA
Instant negative equity. PenFed will typically lend MSRP (+10% in many cases) but not +30%, and for a reason!

Lots of banks will do value adds for modifications, so these things can still get financed easily. Looks good "on paper" but man like you said instant drowning in neg equity.

I’m glad to see they kept the price of the TCSX package under $14,000.

the silliness...
these clowns "lowered" the mark up to $9995 and $11990. a few weeks ago they were at $15K added for a 2wd SR5.
I hate greedy bastards.

Keep in mind, dealers’ days are numbered and the horrible ones like this will get exactly what they deserve coming to them.
It’s the good ones I really do feel sorry for. Cadillac vaporizing hundreds of dealers, Tesla beating the cabals, pandemic remote shopping, pandemic dealer pricing, etc. indicate it’s only a matter of time.

I agree with every point. The pic I posted was from a dealer I buy LARGE amounts of parts from for my business and have gotten special treatment from in the past, but this time when I was ready to buy he told me "nope, even if I did sell you one, we'd still charge you the mark up".
A dealer in southern Oregon was realistic with me, he said "we won't mark them up because as soon as they are in stock again, we'll be begging people to buy them at sticker and the shoe will be on the other foot. No reason to take all of you money at once, we'd rather have you come back and buy again".
Ended up he actually found a dealer in Reno was allocated the specific OR (non-Premium only!) I was looking for. I put down a deposit over the phone, communicated with that dealer via text and email. It was delivered exactly when they said it would be. They had it PDI'd and detailed waiting for me when I showed up. Top notch service/communication. Even after the sale, the hand written card saying "happy one month" etc. It's a bummer that it isn't the norm. (Dolan Toyota in Reno in case you wanted to know)
The days of white belt / white shoe salesman are over along with the ancient dinosaur that is the whole car buying experience. We don't need them any longer.

So does TCSX stand for "Total Complete Sucker Xtreme"?

Sticker price is just trawling and it works. Can snag more than a few suckers that don’t know they can negotiate or think they’re good at it.
Dolan in Reno is one of the worst offenders, btw.
$3000 for pinstripes and door edge guards.

That’s the worst gauging I’ve ever seen. I’d report them to the state AG and just create as many problems as possible just to be a dick to them. What a-holes.

I’d feel bad for someone buying a 2022 TRD Sport and spending that much, an SR5 with some obscurely named (read: all fluff) dealer package is literally fishing for idiots.

Too bad Toyota doesn't control their dealers. What they do damages the brand.

Thats crazy how much they charge. At least you can find them near you. i checked 4 dealers near me and only 2 have them in stock. One dealer they are only SR5 and the other dealer has 2, one sr5 premium and one TRD OR Premium. The 2021 TRD is 46k. The 2022 SR5 Premium is is 45,360
