Question:
What are the exact dimensions of unused space underneath the driver's and passenger's side front seats? H x W x D between mounts and between valences?
Yes. I searched.
No. I did not find an answer that meets my needs.
Good News: If no one responds, I will find out for myself and post on here.
Background:
Since the 4Runner is officially no longer under warranty (60,000 miles in 18 months), it is time to start the modifications! From my 2008 Tacoma I have an older model Pioneer Premier Series 10" Slim-line Subwoofer, a mono-channel 500W Pioneer Premier Amplifier, and a ton of other audio stuff that I am still in debate whether or not to install. We use almost every inch of our 4Runner. That being said, my old subwoofer needs a home, and I want a project I can afford to do. Having better sound out of the stock HU wouldn't hurt either. We travel quite a bit through all kinds of terrain and weather. As such I can't "undo" the heater vents under the seat either. The air must flow.
Objective:
I am looking to utilize as much of what I already have laying around the garage in my 4Runner since we are still re-budgeting from moving into the new house. This is why I am not going the
more popular route of doing the same setup as

and so many other people. I am fairly convinced I will need to build a custom enclosure for under the seat (if I can even fit an appropriate sized one under there). However, in a fit of laziness I am hoping I can squeeze
this under there.
Obviously my custom built box from old Tacoma isn't going to fit under the seat...
Any information given before I take the seats out myself would be greatly appreciated!
