Absolutely love the look. What’s the weight of this? Assuming this will fit the early 5th gens as well.

Yeah I don't see why it wouldn't fit the pre facelift 5th gens. You might just have to do some different cutting on the bumper but I imagine it would just be minor adjustments. I doubt they made any changes to the frame so I'm sure the cutting there is the same. I believe they said with the swingout it's only about 115 lbs. Very lightweight.

A lot of people in this thread have mentioned functionality, but don't you lose the ability to tow? I love the look of the bumper and I get the departure angle, but what happens when you need to pull something? I don't think they have a listed or available tow rating for the bumper.

the high clearance bumper requires chopping the frame. So you won't be able to tow.
They make one where you don't have to chop the frame, so the OEM tow hitch is still intact.

not a fan of that one. looks weird IMO.
any shop can add a new cross member or 2 and a receiver. He doesnt do it for liability.

Yeah not really an issue for me as I very rarely tow anything. We have another family vehicle I can tow with if needed. Like others said above, they make a version where you retain the factory crossmember and tow hitch, it just kinda defeats the purpose and I personally don't like the way it looks.
That being said, if I find myself needing to tow wih the 4runner I'll just have a shop weld on a receiver. Whatever I end up needing to tow will be lightweight anyways.

Seems like he could just add a little sheet metal to his bumpers and make them look 1000X better.
He's almost there but not there.
The one he makes that keeps the trailer hitch looks hideous.

I really like this bumper, but hate the idea of having to remove the stock crossmember. Hate the look of the bumper leaving the stock crossmember.
I see a nightmare scenario if you get rear ended.

I'll likely do the Victory 4x4 license plate/camera relocation setup.

How’s the bumper treating you? Any issues? Did you ever figure out a way to relocate the backup camera and license plate and wire in the license plate lights?
I know you lose the ability to tow with this version. What happens to the trailer plug in that’s underneath? Does it get removed or tucked away?
Pretty set on this bumper, but just wanted to make sure I’m well informed before dropping the money on one.
