Poll !!! For Elocker & regeared owners
Ive been running my front harrop elocker for almoat 2 yrs ... Ive recently stumbled on a gear fluid issue since I started doing my own gear fluid change.
I would like to poll people using elockers owners whether its factory or aftermarket or front and rear or rear only.
Ive been running Redline 75w90
But my gear manufacturer is stating 80w140 mineral oil versus Harrop suggest staying with the 75w90 synthetic but if I have too go 80w140 Synthetic becuse the mineral oil in colder climates will have issues with the magnet.
What gear fluid are you running ??? Please post your gear manufacturer and gear oil manufacturer your running...

Although, your poll probably doesn't apply to me since i've only been regeared for a few days (in break-in period), but the shop insists 80/140 non synthetic as per Nitro. I didn't over think it, i just went what they suggested.
I do have a ton of 75w/85 synthetic sitting in my garage, so i'll probably ask if i can switch to that once im out of the break in period, or at least synthetic gear oil at a minimum.
I'm a belieber of synthetics man...

Nitro brand gears with elocker, been using same Toyota branded gear oil since day one. When I called Nitro prior to ordering there recommendation to me was to stick with what I have been using. Shop who installed it said to stick with that or an equivalent to what Toyota uses. I selected 75w80 mineral on the list/poll as I believe this is mineral oil, correct?
This spring the shop had to reopen the back to adjust the backspacing and found there was no damage of any kind at about 10k miles.

I run Lucas non synthetic 85w140 per ECGS. Maybe add that to your poll since that's their recommendation and will void their warranty. No issues with that for about 60,000 miles in Colorado weather. I'm factory e-locker rear only

I run an Eaton E-Locker in the rear which is pretty much the same as your Harrop and was told 75w90 by their customer support. Im using stock ring & pinion gears

Running 4.88's with the stock rear e-locker on a 2019 Pro. No locker on the front. With what I do it just would be an expensive bragging point.
Oil is Mobil 1 Delvac 75w-90 full synthetic - both pumpkins.
Synthetic 75w-90 was the manufacturers recommended lube for the 4.88's.
Locker works like stock - no issues.
