Question Question - Misaligned Door on a 18 ORP...?

Good morning...

So, was washing the 18 ORP yesterday afternoon and notice that the rear right door is misaligned. The wife was using the 4R for about a few weeks and she tells me that she neither got hit nor hit something. Hhhmmm... I would believe so as I couldn't find any dings, scratches, etc. It is just that the door is just too far "inside," ie., if I pull it out a bit, it aligns. But it doesn't lock.

The 4R is about 50K miles now. Am I thinking that this needs a hinge alignment or something? If I don't address it, could it get worst?

Thanks in advanced...

Door lock\striker has moved...? if yes, it is first time I see it, but I would check that first.

I agree, I would check to see f the striker has moved.

Have you noticed it’s a little harder to close?

Ok. When the Wife brings back the 4R from work, I will check.

Got it.

That said - no, there are no issues with it being harder or easier to close. It is just that I need to press deeper before the lock engages. The gap is the misalignment you see.
