Why TRD rims? Just seems off to put them on a ORP when there are tons of good looking rims without any association to a trim package (that's not yours). Just curious, I'm an SR5 owner.

Going from four to eight TRD wheels lets you use one for the spare and three for the trailer.
Going from TRD OR to TRD Pro - I don't get it myself.

I don't see a problem with the wheels at all. If you like them, it's 100% up to you. It is a free country after all. ;)
I ordered a set on 10/1 knowing it was backordered and would take some time to fulfill and ship. FYI-I ordered from McGeorge Toyota. The biggest problem is the shipping cost.
As of yesterday, it is showing in process. I'm assuming that they got the wheels in and are processing the wheels for shipping.
Once those arrive, next step are a set of Falken AT3Ws in E Load. Those will be a little expensive, but necessary for my purposes for the truck. Malls don't get tamed on whimpy tires!!!!!! LOL!

Never really considered it that way. Just wanting to keep it all Toyota.
Don't really care about what trim it's associated with, just thought it would look good with the Lunar rock. If you have other suggestions I'd be interested. Just want a quality product.

I just put 285/75/16 (IIRC) Wild Peaks on my 08 FJ.
leaning toward the same thing(appropriately sized) on the 4R once I decide on coilovers for it.

With that philosophy, you shouldn't go with anything non trim package. I, personally, am considering them when my "donk" lookin' 20" tires wear out. That is, of course, if I can't get some SCS Stealth 6's in black 17". Oops, there we go, 17's aren't my trim package. As someone stated above, "it's free country".

His ORP is actually a TRD Off Road Premium.
As far as stating “association to a trim package (that's not yours)”
I really don’t see your point other than there are other rims out there.

Personally, I have looked at going to a different brand of wheel when I upgrade my tires. However, the commonly suggested wheels weren't all that much cheaper and I rather liked the looks of the TRD Pro wheels. It's also my wife's daily driver and she has voted on the black TRD Pro wheels. I've shown her different colors (graphite/bronze) and the different brands and she always come back to the TRD Pro wheels. So, it was an easy decision for us since we both wanted the same thing. Same with the trim level, color etc.

They manufactured some of these(Pro Wheels)in 17x8 and 17x9 for the SEMA shows and selling on eBay pretty cheap from a reputable seller. If you look closely at the pictures they have the same manufacturer marking as oem toyota but no trd center cap. They have the red cap but no emblem
Just search on eBay with keywords "SEMA PRO 4RUNNER"
I ordered a set for a second wheel set as I already bought Method 703's.Ebay Sema Pros are supposed to be here Thursday although fedex has been unreliable lately. I can let you know the quality and if they are legit when I get them if you want.

McGeorge Toyota. It is the older style TRD Pro wheel. I believe in 2020(?), they changed to a slightly different style, but same size.
