Pay full price expect full service, pay half price expect half the service, pay nothing... expect nothing.

I get what you guys are saying. I really do. The customer asked for the service and the dealership charged accordingly as per a normal service rate of probably $119/hr and they banged him for the 1/2 hour that the computer said to charge for.
My point was that all it takes is a question from the dealer that would make me really appreciate that dealer a lot more. "Hey, customer. Here's a quick tip. This is a really easy service and I'd have to charge you $59 for it. Go into the Entune app and you can update it that way in 5 seconds. If you don't feel comfortable doing it, I'm happy to do it for you." Not offensive in the least.
Saying its the same as doing an oil change on a 5th gen is also silly. That's getting on your back, undoing a skid, getting covered in oil, etc. This is literally opening your phone and was charged the same. I would never expect a free oil change and I always tip 20%+ at restaurants, but this is so small. It was a chance for the dealer to make a really positive impression.
