Thanks for the photos! It looks like the front radar rectangle is lower on the grill than mine. I suspect it was moved down to provide room for the front-facing camera. The bottoms of the mirrors are also different (obviously... because they have cameras in addition to the puddle lights). So, adding panoramic view monitor retrospectively looks to be at least 5 parts: a lower grill piece that moves the radar rectangle to the bottom of the grill, the front camera, driver side mirror with camera, passenger side mirror with camera, and some module that manages the images from all the cameras. You were wise to shop around for a 4runner with this already installed. I never should’ve taken the sales guy’s word that it could easily be installed later. Bummer...
Bring it back and claim “Errors and Omissions”

You also have the wiring harnesses in the mirrors unless you already have them.

Found the parts?

Have a look here. I think I found the parts for panoramic view:

CAMERA & REAR MONITOR DISPLAY. Toyota 4Runner | Toyota Parts Center Online

If I'm doing my math right, this ain't cheap. I figured the head unit would do the work of processing the images and working the camera but I think there is a separate computer.

It won't be long until some aftermarket guys find a way to replicate OEM for a fraction of the cost. I hope.

MTM -can this be done?

hey all i wanted to jump into this thread in hopes of seeing what options are available to add this system after the fact. i have been on a mission over the last year to learn as much as i can about MTM system integration and wondering if its even possible to do. i know there are other aftermarket systems Anytime Backup Cam etc but it KILLS ME that i bypassed it on my 23 (tough to find in nor-cal). although not the most advanced cam system in terms of resolution i would love to find a way to add it.

if a vehicle was equipped with the premium plus package and was involved in an accident how is the system replaced? it seems like the side view mirror housing covers, grill garnish with cam housing and TSS plate and the actual cams should be available, im just not sure what the control module looks like and how it interfaces with the headunit.

has anyone successfully replicated this system yet? is there any hope is adding it? there has to be a way. i hope to re-ignite this thread. thanks all.

The picture quality on screen is absolutely horrendous. I would recommend the Anytime camera to get a front camera in addition to your OEM backup camera.
If you tried to buy all the parts for the side mirrors, you need the plugs behind the radio, and the new radio which is flashed with the software to view all the cameras at once. You can go thru my thread and check it out and see before and after pictures. The quality of the images are absolute garbage its practically unusable. You CANT get straight in a parking lot because the image quality is so awful you cant see if you are straight or crooked. My wife was crooked in every parking spot for the first two months, she always backs in, and she was crooked everywhere. The camera quality is so poor you cant really see the ground with any quality, so its easy to get crossed up and off center to the parking spot lines. The side view cameras are absolutely useless, the image quality and view is horrible. I hate that i spent the extra money on the technology package because i literally took all that garbage and unplugged it all and replaced the rear view camera.
