TRD off road base. Looks way better than a base SR5 for not much more money, wanted a locking diff, wanted cloth seats.

your missing out. I like both cloth and leather for it's various purposes, but Softex is hella durable (super thick), easy to clean, and doesn't hold in any odours or crack. Don't think i can ever go back to cloth or leather with the functionality and sleekness of the Softex seats.

Bought a year old (2019) Nautical Blue SR5 with 25k miles for about $34,000 out the door. Couldn't justify spending more on the other packages for what it would get me. Plus I like the less aggressive, fairly stock look for now. Nothing flashy... Just a solid workhorse vehicle.

4runner - Album on Imgur

I was seeing people dropping $20,000 more only to upgrade the suspension, roof rack, black out trim, remove steps, not like the hood scoop, etc. Plus, I'm buying a dated vehicle because of its legendary reliability, didn't care about someone putting the first 25k miles on it. Still had some warranty.

Something really annoys me about the whole mall crawler crowd with molle panels everywhere, American flag decal in the rear windows, exterior mounted jack, winch, etc that likely never off-road. In my medium sized town I've met 4 TRD Pro owners, 2 of which had big old safari style racks on top, and they were all females who said they don't off-road, just like the looks. And two limited that were driven by men. My internal stereotypes beforehand did not hold true.

2022 ORP, with MTM, no KDSS.

Found out the Pro's exclusive color was going to be Lime Rush lmao. So I chose the next best thing --- Lunar Rock. It was honestly a toss up between AG and LR.

In all seriousness, ORP for me was a better choice. I was able to strike an amazing deal on mine and I could roll on those savings towards building a rig that will eventually be equal to or better than the Pro. Only thing I'll miss out is the dual climate control (which i think it's stupid given my 2013 accord that costed $22k new has it standard).

MTM was more of a whim decision. Not necessary, but should come in handy when my wife tries to park it lol. Also a nice thing to have when you dont have a spotter. Camera quality doesnt look amazing, and it doesnt have the pitch/roll gauge that the Tacoma has IIRC.

While KDSS is great, I live in TX and not particularly fond of the KDSS lean I've been seeing on some stock GX and LC's in my area. I know there are spacers to offset but just one less thing to worry about.

2019 Nautical Blue SR5 Premium with 17K miles for $42K.
Chose it for trim level, color, and it was available. Had everything I wanted.

Musta done something right: Just returned from a 4K trip through the SW in all kinds of weather! LOVED IT!!!

The only other color was WHITE!

Limited, mainly because I value the full-time 4WD system for winter driving conditions

2017 TRD Pro. Traded my '13 FJC Manual TT in for it. I had everything I wanted and more! IMHO it is over the top capable compared to the FJC...

What's a good deal on a 22 ORP these days? Seems like MSRP is decent these days...

Was the only option with KDSS. Otherwise I would have bought a limited and added lockers aftermarket. Tough call between premium and base. Im on the tall side and would prefer no sunroof for the head room. But I also like the premium upgrades otherwise and the dealer had a premium so I bought it. I use the sunroof a fair bit. So I'm okay with it.

Ideally I'd prefer a limited with no sunroof and KDSS. And a V8... Oh and the 2 row seating configuration. So an lc200 gxl.

Anybody know?

Don’t have an ORP but I know it’s heavily regional. CA has “market adjustments” on just about everything, whereas in the southeast you can sometimes find them without.

Dealers who don’t budge on MSRP you have to make it up in trade.
