How much amp draw is on your grill lights?
That’s the size of the fuse you need to protect that circuit. If you go higher, you are not protecting the circuit if it shorts.
Tap into the the made circuit side of a switched circuit and then protect your light circuit with only the amp draw rated fuse for the lights you are installing.
Does that make any sense?
