Post from back in 2017 when I made my own. I actually sell the template if people don't want to take the time to make there own. Made a lot for the 2nd Gen tacoma guys.

Upgraded my inner fender splash shields

Two of mine are cracking. I think the template was messed up as there is a bit to much bendiness in the each of the rears, the front of the wheel are “fine”. Not super happy with them as I have only had them on for a bit over a year, not a lot of activity during that time, and those two need to be replaced already. They might not like our dry climate either.

so just let me get this straight, there isn't any real benefit to this, unless your splash guard is already deteriorating or missing?

I made aluminum ones for my truck. If you've got the right tools its pretty easy. Page 56 of my build thread.

that is beautiful!!! I wonder why there isn't more companies making it. I"m pretty sure there is a demand for it, and if not, you just "make" the demand" via social media these days.

got my Ark splash guards on today. went on as expected. 2 small spots needed a quick trim with a razor blade. otherwise no real issues. I expect one rivet to pull out as its pretty tight due to the KDSS lines. If it happens, i'll just drill a hole in the splash guard and use one of the holes on the KDSS bracket/guard ting.

Is it the stock "splash Shields" or just the clips that hold them that are failing? I need to replace the clips on my 2018 Turd, but the rubber is fine.
