Backup Bulbs
Has anyone swapped out their factory backup light bulbs?? Looking to upgrade mine to get more light out of them. Looking for suggestions. Diode Dynamics has two options, one that is close to the OEM output, and one that is much brighter (on paper anyway).

Yes go with LASFIT. The issue with some is other brands sometimes lack the nodule to allow the bulb to SNAP in, and it will fall right out of the socket.

I replaced mine with LED's someone suggested. They still suck. Probably better to upgrade the rear camera for an HD one.
So I added these:

I have lasfit reverse and turn signals front/rear.
The reverse lights help light up the rear of the truck for reversing purposes as night (as seen on the back up camera)

Be sure to disconnect your battery before doing any electrical work - even something as simple as changing bulbs. There are threads here where people didn't and ran into issues that were costly. Also, there have been issues with poor crimps on socket wiring to the tail light assemblies causing lights not to work - so if you have problems, that's a good place to start. A search for threads on both issues might be helpful first.

I did my reverse lights and my license plate lights and it seems to help the back up camera pick up contrast at night.
However, don't expect spotlight performance like the ones u put on your roof, lol.

I don’t know what merits Diode Dynamics holds that causes them to have this chip on their shoulder, they did invent Tail-As-Turn, but as far as bulbs I have not heard good things from forum users.
I will give credit where credit is due and say they’re the only company that has an LED drop in for DRL’s; designed to run at the lower voltage.

IMHO, it's actually just one DD fanboy that likes to cry on multiple forums. He's probably done more harm to DD's business because it gives the appearance that DD is a bunch of sore losers.
