For hard to beat camping spots, Bride's Canyon off Gemini Bridges Rd looks amazing. First come first serve though, so have to get there early and be lucky that others aren't already setup.
My last night there we stayed up on a hill off Yellow Circle Rd that had a great view looking west towards Canyonlands. Fun trail to get up there as well. Google Maps

White Rim Road in Canyonlands is amazing. We did it in March this year.

Regarding your lights, depending on how many additional lumens you're looking for, the Baja Squadron front fog light replacements are a very easy plug and play replacement and they put out a lot of light.

Moab - check one off the bucket list.
Arches Backcountry via Willow Springs.
Fins and things (Most of it anyways)
Canyonlands via Potash/Shafer switchbacks/white rim.
Plus lots of good family time cruising downtown Moab and chillaxing in an Airbnb.
Good times. Hope u have a good Thanksgiving.

Moab is just our first bucket list trip, we have a winter snow trip planned and also a Pacific Northwest and Daniel boone Parkway loop trip in the works for 2022.
We’ve had it on a couple local trails so far and it really does work great.
Front and rear lighting is probably on our short list of next items to tackle. Probably have a shop help us with those installs. Wiring is not my strong suit.
I’ll keep y’all updated during/after moab.

Dobinsons lift
- great kit. Had all the clearance, comfort, flex we needed.
Bfg KO2’s
- tough, smooth-riding tire that performs well. Stock sized worked fine for us on 5-6/10 rated trails. Had to replace one already due to road debris (huge chunk of metal skewered it) , so it was a great strategy to pick a normally-stocked tire.
Warn bumper insert
- smacked the sh!t out of this coming down off a bowl on Fins & Things, with only minor damage. Stout/stout/stout and very low profile. I’m in love.
Warn M8000 winch
- nice to have in the remote area’s. Unused.
4xinnovations sliders
- felt very secure with these on. Never scraped.
4xinnovations skid set
- felt very secure with these on. Never scraped.
RCI offroad shock skids
- great choice. Kissed both of these on the trail.
Victory4x4 rear bumper
- i would have been dragging my a$$ all over the place, if not for this bumper. Also, the bumper creates a nice flat surface for food or sitting.
Safari snorkel
- bull dust filled roads throughout, nice to have the engine potentially breathing cleaner air.
Victory4x4 adventure carrier (drivers)
- solid as a rock. Nice that it can be configured.
Victory4x4 Dual can carrier
-very convenient to have two cans. We used it for two fuel cans, since i carried spare fuel for two cars. I could see carrying one fuel and one water on solo trips.
LFD Crossbars for highlift and sand ladders
-solid, no rattles. Nice to have this bulky gear up and out of the way.
AJC cargo gear plate
-solid as a rock through rugged trails
ICECO fridge slide (for our cooler)
-one of our favorite additions. Made getting into the cooler daily, a very easy task.
Rago fab molle panels with shelf
-this is a game-changer. Really allowed us to maximize our cargo area, strap down upper cargo and allow the bottom supplies to be accessed without unloading the bottom.
Back of front seat organizers for our kiddos
- these were great for the long road days
Various tools/trail gear and safety equipment.
- got some generic plano stacking boxes from home depot. Worked great. Needed tools for a few repairs on other rigs.

Oh, and we used the Moab trails book from amazon, and also the OnX app on my phone. Once i figured out the offline map feature, it was VERY useful.

Good. Glad the book helped you. Very worth it.
OnX is awesome. The places I’ve found with it would have never been found by me. Even detours on the fly. I Looked like a real pro navigator after a washout changed plans and I had to figure stuff out rickety tick with a super impatient type A guy who happens to be my boss. Took about 3 minutes. Zoomed out, stabbed some left and right turn signs on my detour that looked like it would work……, and prayed. I worked… thank goodness. So glad that one worked.
Nice thing about OnX is they pay attention. I gave them some feedback and they actually implemented it.

"Victory4x4 rear bumper

Glad you liked it!
The stock bumper is fine on both loops of Fins and Things with no lift so long as there is a 30$ insert into the hitch. Even the very steep short wall on the southern loop where "insert-less" Rubicons drag--the insert takes it all.

Any hitch recovery insert (shackle removed). I now use a cheap front hitch skid plate (instead of the specialized 4x4, super expensive rear hitch ones).

No, it is NOT free. Just because you found one of the multiple ways into the park that bypasses the fee booths, it doesn't mean you got a freebie.

What about for a stock ORP? I have Cooper A/T Tires, but stock otherwise. I've looked up the more Moderate/Easy trails to run. I'm going in August. What type of items would I need to bring besides Tire repair kit and air compressor?
Thanks,
Mike

I’d say that for most green 1-3 level trails, you’d be fine truck-wise as long as you have skids. Those trails are very scenic too. Definitely give arches NP via willow springs rd a try.
For gear, this is what i’d add to your compressor/tire kit for Moab:
Fire extinguisher w/ solid mount
Basic First aid kit - CVS/target have good ones
Good flashlight
Good pair of work gloves
Good multi-tool
OnX offroad app on smart phone (free for 7 days, so do it right before your trip) for offline maps of the area.
Basic (costco/home depot) tool kit
Duct tape/bailing wire/zip ties.
Jug of water & some power bars
Most of that could all easily fit in a normal, carry-on size duffel bag and i shop at home depot/CVS/target for most of my consumable supplies/PPE.
If you’re going solo, i’d add a small home depot shovel, a pair of cheap traction boards(amazon), and a quality tow strap(ARB, Bubba rope, etc) as we did run across some deep sand in certain areas, but you’re never really alone on Moab trails - we always ran across at least one rig big enough to give us a tug if we were stuck.

Awesome, thank you for the reply. These are some of the items I was looking at that I have on my list already. I have a all access pass to Trails Offroad, I'm keeping to the easy and moderate trails, nothing above a 4. I just have factory skids, plan to go slow, enjoy my time, don't plan to hit very often or not at all lol! Thanks again...
