What to check (if anything) before warranty expires?

I have ~1 month until my 3-year/36K mile warranty times out and was wondering if there are any items I should take a look at to see if anything needs to be addressed before it's over.

I was thinking same too. I am at 2 yrs mark right now, and was thinking of taking to an independent shop for evaluation before 36monbths warranty expires. They will charge for an hour, but I think its worth spending.

I would assume this is your bumper to bumper warranty? if that's the case I'd check every checkable item. crawl under the truck and start looking. test all the electronics

now is the time to address any suspicious leaks and creaks, especially suspension. make sure valve cover gaskets aren't leaking (unlikely)

transmission and cooling system as well, make sure nothing wonky going on there. if rust is a concern where you live pull the rear license plate and make sure there's no rust back there, even pull the kick panels and make sure no hidden rust underneath (I've seen a few instances of this)

You bought a 4Runner, unlikely anything is wrong, or about to go wrong. Check back at 200k.

Maybe with the engine or transmission, but there have been a lot of problems with the suspension and steering.

I have a 2019 Pro and have had both front Fox shocks replaced under the TSB, both rear control arms, and my driver side rear shock. I started getting a rumbling sound from the rear and another knocking sound from the front. Took it in yesterday...needs a new passenger side rear shock and one of the new front shocks I had installed is bad and also needs replacing. I've had horrible steering wheel shake but got the tires balanced again yesterday and it finally feels smooth. I've only got 30k miles on it and my only off roading is an occasional ride on the beach.

Check for this: Timing cover leak = first trip to dealer . While that is not a very common issue, it is very expensive to fix ($3k+). It is relatively simple to spot, so take a look at the pictures on that thread.

This. And check it again just before end of powertrain warranty coverage. Grab a flashlight and have a look through the passenger wheel well and see if there is any oil on the block around the power steering pump.

Haven't had those issues with my 19 TRD Off Road. What tires? C rated? Stock?

Stock Nitto Terra grapplers. I guess I got a good tech that really knew what he was doing with the balancing. This is my 3rd 4Runner and it's the first time I've felt what it's like to not have steering wheel shake.
