I realize this post is a bit old... So I'm attempting to use the Beat-Sonic TAV-CB2 S-Connect Interface in my 2012 TE with non-JBL entune nav head unit in order to get Android Auto and Apple Carplay to work on the stock head unit. However, the Beat-Sonic unit is meant for factory nav head units for model years 2014-18. The included wiring harness for the Beat-Sonic unit will work fine, except that the backup camera connection is different. This is a similar problem that you ran into while installing a newer factory entune nav head unit in a 2012 model.

: This is not a criticism as I greatly appreciate your post, and have found it very helpful. But I cleaned up this set of sentences to make it understandable:
"I used the included RCA plugs to make the camera connection. All that’s left is to connect the 2 yellow wires together to accessory power, and the 2 black ones to ground. It’s that simple". - Can you please elaborate on this? I don't quite understand what you are saying about the 2 yellow wires together to accessory power and the 2 black ones to ground.
Are you using the composite yellow video connector for your backup camera signal? How did you handle supplying the 6v of power to the backup camera?
By the way, I've found these two adapters for the backup camera from crutchfield which are similar to the ones you posted (which there are probably ones that cheaper out there):
- 2012 backup camera cable:
PAC CAM-TY11 Backup Camera Cable Retain your factory backup camera or add an aftermarket camera to select 2012-15 Toyota, Subaru, and Scion vehicles at Crutchfield
- 2014+ backup camera cable:
