Too bad the one the Toyota parts department sells isn't the same as the original!
My 2014 still has the original battery , and my fj 2011 had it's original battery replaced on Dec. 8, 2021.

I don't piss money away when I don't have too, on the flip side it can bite you in the ass using my logic. lol

It was testing done while on a road trip, so I changed it instead of risking it while of-road.

Both my Dad and I are still going strong on the original batteries! I'm thinking about getting him an Interstate from Costco for Christmas. I hate to replace something not broken but I know we are are really pushing our luck at this point!

Those OEM Panasonic batteries are excellent. I replaced mine (2013 FJ Cruiser purchased new in May 2013) in early 2021.
Battery life is very dependent on how it is maintained. Mine started to die when the Covid work from home stuff happened. I did not drive the FJ frequently enough - sometimes would sit for several weeks without driving. And then it started fail - not cranking. With regular driving I am sure it would still be good.

I sold the FJ in mid 2021. Purchased a new 2023 4R ORP last month.
