I have 5 of those crossbars on mine, with the front one being the air deflector. Love them. And, I'm not surprised they picked up the phone. LFD rocks! I haven't bought very much from them, or spent a lot of money, and yet they treat me like their top customer!
Glad you got that figured out!

Once again, LFD picked up the phone and were very helpful.

Cheers!
Thank you for this post. I have been trying to put my stock crossbars back on, but they wouldn't fit. I bet when I switched from the silver rails to black ones they are slightly off. I think I will just loosen the stock rails and see if that helps me reinstall the stock crossbars. I would have never thought they could be slightly off. Thought I was just a moron and F'ed something up.

This may have been said already, but seal up the roof rack mounting locations really good if you loosen them up to get crossbars on. There are several threads on here about gaskets and sealants to use.

For sure . The end caps on my 2010 have never been off so I don’t dare touch them now . Probably crumble as soon as I started prying.

lol same here. if I ever take them off its because I'm getting a different rack up there. I know when I take them off there's no going back. I think each cap is about $80 from toyota

When I replaced one of mine earlier this year, I think it was around $30. With the world on fire, maybe it's hit $80 Not roasting your comment, just adding my experience.
Those things have very little holding them on, and way easy to break the tabs. Thus... I replaced one of mine, after it flew off somewhere driving around.
