I can pretty much guarantee you that the DD Sports in the Fog pattern - properly aimed - do not blind oncoming traffic. The Pro and Max models are a bit more problematic. Even though they comply with all applicable standards, they're quite bright and even when properly aimed, some folks will think they're too bright.

I'm getting ready to pull the trigger on the DD fog lights (pro, amber)

based on all the research I've done, they seem the best deal for the money. YMMV

Yes for the price it seems to be the best value. Check Amazon out ebay typically 15% off . I’m debating the fog sport white ones or the pro

Based on personal experience, perhaps I can offer some advice. When looking at the Fog versions of the Sport or Pro, remember that although both meet the SAE J583 specs, their actual beam patterns are somewhat different. The Sport has a very tight vertical pattern which makes the maximum use of the lower light output. Because the pattern is so tight, proper vertical aim is critical. Both pods need to be aimed evenly and correctly or oncoming drivers will not be happy.

The Pro model uses different emitters and has higher output, but the vertical pattern is not as well defined. This means there is more "spill-over" at both the top and bottom of the pattern. The bottom is not a problem, but the spill-over at the top can bother oncoming drivers - especially if you're aimed too high. If you like to run your fogs all the time, the Sports - properly aimed - are definitely a better choice.

As for color, the clear lens versions offer slightly higher output compared to the selective yellow. That said, the selective yellow versions offer better penetration in foul weather. Your choice here.

Using LEDs in fog lights is a great solution. Due to the technical characteristics of LEDs, light is emitted by pulses. This is one of the reasons why the glare effect is perceived as less strong. The use of modern LED light sources not only ensures that oncoming traffic is no longer blinding, but also prevents the blinding that otherwise occurs in fog when bright light is reflected and thrown back. So think about replacing it. It will be a great solution for your comfort and convenience. Good luck in the search!
