21 fog light bulb

So I have done a search and not have come up with any answers..I have a '21 limited that came with led fog lights and I'm not quite happy with them.i am looking to possibly change the bulbs in them ,maybe vleds . Didn't know if someone has already done it . The factory ones don't seem that bright , not looking to blind oncoming traffic. I am used to vehicles with aftermarket fogs maybe that's why I don't find the factory fogs that bright.

You cannot change the LED light bulbs. You have to replace the whole fixture.

^^^^ This.

And since you cannot change the "bulb," here's a complete review of your options to replace the units. Hint: Diode Dynamics is the winner.

You might want to read that thread I posted the link to first. The Morimotos didn't do very well. I used to have them, so I can personally attest to the results.

I'm glad I asked before ording anything....I knew the headlight bulb was not replaceable I didn't know the fog light bulb was also not serviceable.

I would buy literal no name junk to get that beam pattern / cutoff of the Morimotos.

This is a new set that I haven’t seen when searching not even a year ago. I’ll read your thread, but have you heard anything about this other model?

Yes, I've heard of them. Much improved over the original Morimoto fogs. I have the Diode Dynamics SS3 Max fogs though. If you look closely at the specs, they use the same emitters, but four (in the DD) instead of three (in the Morimotos). I struggle with how having one less emitter and less heat sink area will provide more light. The pattern on the Morimotos is also not as wide.

BTW, I do not trust any Headlight Revolution videos. They own all of the companies that supposedly "win" all of their comparisons. That just smells a little wrong to me.

I really like the 2021
Led fogs. But they definitely can’t be used just for driving lights tho.

Remember, a driving beam is a very different beam pattern than a fog beam. In the Diode Dynamics SS3 series, the fog beams are awesome. The driving beams are killer in a whole different way.

may consider picking up some fog lights . what would be best for daily driving? I leave the fog lights on all the time with the LED headlights

If you leave them on all the time, I'd suggest the Diode Dynamics Sport model in the Fog pattern. You have your choice of clear or selective yellow lenses. The clear will give you a bit more light, but the selective yellow will cut through inclement weather much better. (Your choice there.) As with any forward facing light, proper aiming is critical.

Well, the Oem fogs definitely don’t blind incoming traffic. Not sure if the diode dynamics does.

I got a set of Squadron SAE from Baja Designs for my 19 Runner. Really great coverage and I made mine a duel Amber/White. Properly adjusted they are not blinding.

Super easy install too.
