Bluetooth issue with Pixel 6 Pro
Just got the P6P and when I make calls from my '16 TRDP, they disconnect after a minute or so, and I need to turn off bluetooth to continue the call, or the call drops completely. If not on a call, the phone stays connected the entire time I drive. My previous Pixel 3XL on android 12 worked perfectly.
Has anyone else experienced this, and if so, have you found a solution?

Same issue with my P6P. There was a support thread that I used to have bookmarked where others were having the same issues...but I can't seem to find it. The December update was supposed to fix this, but I still haven't received it.

I did the send feedback thing, and saw where other Toyotas were affected as well. I was checking for that update constantly, but now it sounds like it is delayed. Apparently it has been causing other network issues, so I'll deal with it until they get it worked out.

The issue here seems to be that there are multiple ways for calls to be setup and torn down, however, device manufacturers sometimes limit themselves to just one way, expecting the other end to adapt (sounds a lot like a bad relationship!)
Well, sometimes it doesn’t happen, and functions fail.

Except some of us have iPhones of the same model with the same software on the same vehicles and don’t have the issue.
You think it could be carrier-related and not Toyota or phone manufacturer-specific?

I think it's definitely on Toyota's end. My Bluetooth worked flawlessly until I was forced to download a mandatory update to my head unit when Toyota eliminated the entune app and consolidated all the apps onto the Toyota app. Nothing has worked right since. I'm taking my 4Runner in to have my Fox shocks replaced once again, so I'll see if there is any update they can do. I'm sure my engine and transmission will run forever but my vehicle has been a lemon as far as the suspension and electronics are concerned.

That’s a good idea - ask if they can roll back the version since the new one is causing issues. Maybe they can do it with TechStream?

Go to toyota.com/connect and it shows Toyota is not supporting Google handsets past Pixel 4, it's ridiculous but they actually shot me an email stating so. That goes for even the 2022s, I thought it might have been because I had a 2018 head unit. My Pixel 4 XL worked perfect in my 2018 Off Road Premium and never thought to check compatibility! I unfortunately am going to sell my Pixel 6Pro for the Samsung S22 Ultra.
